The Institute of Registered Auditors organizes currently the Awards for Best Belgian Sustainability Reports 2020.
During the early days, those Awards were focusing on the best environmental report and only large companies were taking part to the competition.
It evolved to take into account as well the social and economic factors. The pool of competitors has also significantly diversified , including large companies but also small and medium enterprises, NGO's, public sector, universities...
A particular focus is also given now to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and how enterprises align their strategies, measure and manage their contributions to the SDG.
The jury is made up of representatives from economic actors, academics, journalists, registered auditors... Carlos Desmet from the LSM is a member of the jury. Forty six reports were submitted this year for the competition, they can be consulted on the Award website.
Some of the reports were submitted by companies partnering with our school such as Solvay, Spadel, essenscia, Proximus and Coca-Cola.
The award ceremony is planned in January 2021.
