During the 99th annual meeting of the Transportation Research Board (Washington DC, January 12-16, 2020), Professor Bart Jourquin has accepted to chair the Special Interest Group (SIG) devoted to Freight Transport Modeling for the World Conference on Transportation Research Society (WCTRS), which next conference will be held in Montreal in 2022.
Among other topics, he promoted the idea of bridging the gap between micro, meso and macro models in close collaboration with other SIG’s, such as the one dedicated to urban freight transport.
