Sample compliance
Volume required: 3000 ul of plasma or 1500 ul of CSF
Samples may not:
- be hemolyzed
- be lipemic
Samples are collected on EDTA or ACD-A:
- after collection, entire blood samples must arrive at the laboratory within 24 hours at room temperature or within 48 hours in the refrigerator.
- after centrifugation, plasma or CSF must arrive at the laboratory within 24 hours at room temperature, within 5 days in the refrigerator or frozen.
