Measured parameters
- Protease, Reverse transcriptase and Integrase sequencing
- Next-Generation Sequencing platform (Sentosa SQ® HIV-1 genotyping assay)
- Sequencing of gp120 (= Determination of tropism)
- In-house Sanger sequencing method (ABI3500 platform)
Sample compliance
Volume required: 3000 ul of plasma or 1500 ul of CSF
Samples may not :
- be hemolyzed
Samples are collected on EDTA or ACD-A :
- after collection, entire blood sample must arrive at the laboratory within 24 hours at room temperature or within 48 hours in the refrigerator.
- after centrifugation, plasma or CSF must arrive at the laboratory within 24 hours at room temperature, within 5 days in the refrigerator or frozen.
