Fast & Serious with Antoine Soetewey

Antoine Soetewey, PhD candidate and Teaching assistant in statistics at ISBA, presents his research!

Can the right to be forgotten in insurance be improved?

Imagine a world where cancer patients are granted equal rights when applying for loans or life insurance.
What does "The Right To Be Forgotten" mean to you?

Antoine's research was divided into three parts. His objective? To advocate for the implementation of "The Right To Be Forgotten" in the insurance systems across European countries. This right would allow clients who have successfully undergone cancer treatment to not disclose their medical history after a maximum of 10 years, especially for cancer types where survival rates become comparable to those of the general population within a few years post-diagnosis.
