The business world is often associated with the search for growth and profit at any costs. However, companies have a significant role to play in regards to the current sustainable challenges our society is facing. Some
have already understood the issue and enforced advanced CSR policies.
The term corporate social responsibility (CSR) refers to a company's initiatives and decisions that integrate social and environmental issues.
Conference- Emerging unscathed from whistleblowing: utopia or reality?
On Tuesday 04 December 2018, Transparency International Belgium and the Louvain School of Management, for its master course in Business Ethics and Compliance Management teached by Carlos Desmet, co-organised a conference-debate on whistleblowing entitled: Emerging unscathed from whistleblowing: utopia or reality?
About 160 students and professionals registered for the event to come to listen to and interact with (Wooclap) an impressive panel composed by Mona Caroline Chammas (Founder of GOVERN&LAW and Government & Business Counsel), Philippe Dechamps (General Counsel and Company Secretary at Celyad), Thierry Gillis,(Inspector General at General Inspectorate of the Federal and Local police) and Alain Lallemand (Investigative journalist at Le Soir), and moderated by Wim Vandekerckhove(Transparency International and Reader in Business Ethics, Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour at the University of Greenwich).
