The Louvain School of Management (LSM) is the business school of the University of Louvain, founded in 1425, one of the oldest in Europe. LSM is located close to the capital of Europe and provides world class courses for Master’s students in Management and Business Engineering. The Louvain School of Management started its cooperation with the Instituto Superior Técnico Lisboa in 2012. Founded in 1911, Instituto Superior Técnico aims to contribute to the development of society, promoting excellence, in the fields of Engineering, Science and Technology by developing Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) activities.
With this specific programme, you will be awarded the LSM Master in Business Engineering and the IST Master in Industrial Engineering and Management.
Double Degree Structure

Students enrolled in a double degree LSM/IST are required to write a joint master's Thesis. Therefore they will have two supervisors: one at LSM and one at IST.
Students start their work for the master's thesis already during the first year. The master's thesis will be written in English. A mandatory oral defense will take place in front of both supervisors (by skype if needed).
Tuition fees are paid at the "home" university, for the entire duration of the studies. Administrative fees might be required at the "host" university.
Fall Semester 2019: from September 16, 2019 to December 21, 2019 (Official exam session from January 4 to 25, 2020).
Spring Semester 2020: from February 3, 2020 to May 16, 2020 (Spring Break from April 6 to 25, 2020) (Official exam session from June 2 to 27, 2020).
Resit exam session from August 17, 2020 to September 3,2020.
Fall Semester 2019: from Mid-September 2019 to Mid-End-December 2019 (Official exam session and resit exams in January 2020).
Spring Semester 2020: from Mid-February 2020 to En of May 2020 (one-week break for Easter Holydays) (Official exam session and resit exams in June-July 2020).
