Do you want to focus your career towards a specialisation
in Finance, or in Management or in Economics?
The Double Degree partnership LSM-NOVA awards a LSM Master’s degree in Management and Business Engineering and another Master’s degree at NOVA either in Management or in Finance or in Economics. By graduating from two Master's degrees, you will become an expert in a specific management field thanks to the major chosen at LSM and the specific courses at NOVA.
The agreement started in 2011. Nova School of Business and Economics is considered the best school of business and economics in Portugal and has the aim to shape powerful mind. Similarly to LSM, NOVA is EQUIS accredited, part of the CEMS Alliance and a PIM member.
"At the Nova School of Business and Economics, I was taught by some of the best professors I have met during my studies and learned to apply the quantitative research methods I am now using as a research consultant in monitoring and evaluation (M&E)." (Pauline Mauclet, LSM/NOVA 2014-2016)
Double degree student who has completed the required credits of each university will obtain two degrees, one from each university:
> @ LSM: it will be the "Master en sciences de gestion, à finalité spécialisée" OR "Master en ingénieur de gestion, à finalité spécialisée" (legally titled in French, the programme is entirely in English).
> @ NOVA: it will be the "Master in Economics" OR "International* Master in Finance" OR "International* Master in Management"
* The international version is only possible if you respect some languages requirements. Otherwise it is "Master in Finance" OR "Master in Management"

Students enrolled in a double degree LSM/NOVA are required to write a joint Master's thesis. Therefore the students will have to found two professors: one at LSM and one at NOVA. One will be the main supervisor and the other one the reader.
Students usually start their work for the Master's thesis already during the first year. The Master's thesis will be written in English. A mandatory oral defense will take place in front of at least the two professors (by skype if needed).
Tuition fees are paid at the "home" university, for the entire duration of the studies. Administrative fees might be required at the "host" university.
