Pauline Mauclet, LSM/NOVA 2014-2016: "At the Nova School of Business and Economics, I was taught by some of the best professors I have met during my studies and learned to apply the quantitative research methods I am now using as a research consultant in monitoring and evaluation (M&E)."
Double Degree Structure
DD students will spend 1 year at LSM and one year at Nova SBE. Although programmes are subject to change, you can check examples here below:
Students enrolled in a double degree LSM/NOVA are required to write one individual Master's thesis. Therefore the students will have to find two professors: one at LSM and one at NOVA. One will be the main supervisor and the other one the reader.
Students usually start their work for the Master's thesis already during the first year (or second year depending if the supervisor is from home or host university). The Master's thesis will be written in English. A mandatory oral defense will take place, by videoconference, in front of at least the two professors.
Please note that, in the double degree NOVA-LSM, it is not allowed to do a Master's thesis in group.
