The new KRONOS GROUP Chair « Strategic Sourcing & Procurement » will officially start in September 2018, thanks to the support of Foundation Louvain. The goal is to offer to the Louvain School of Management (LSM) Students a unique training in Belgium.
Activities linked to the procurement management, to the supplier’s development and monitoring are becoming increasingly strategic in the management and development of a company. The new technologies and the shorter deadlines imposed for the introduction of new products have only reinforced this trend.
In addition, the recruitment and performance of procurement executive in companies poses a real challenge due to a lack of knowledge and trainings in this field. In fact, until now, no cursus dedicated to this field existed in Belgium. Therefore, companies willing to hire this profile had to recruit abroad.
KRONOS GROUP, leader in Procurement services on the Belgian market, wanted to change this trend and train our future Belgian procurement experts.
The creation of this Chair for us a unique chance, to open new horizons to the young generations and to train them in a rapidly growing business.
This Chair includes three courses of 90 hours in “Sourcing and Procurement”. Lessons are given in English and are currently open to 150 students in Business Engineering, Business Management and CEMS.
The Chair will be officially inaugurated 23th March during an event including numerous business managers from the Belgian economical market.
The programme and the content of the courses will be soon presented to the Louvain School of Management students.
