LSM involved in Circle U “Sustainable Change Maker programme"

LSM also involved in inter-university Circle U “Sustainable Change Makers programme”

Launched in October 2022, the first session of this innovative pilot course (co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union) ended in UCLouvain in December with the final presentation of the micro-projects linked to sustainable development goals.

Seven professors from different universities (Paris, London, Aarhus, Belgrade) got involved in the project and combined their different areas of expertise to offer this unique and original online programme.

Among them, Amélie Jacquemin, Professor of entrepreneurship at LSM and academic Head of the incubator for student entrepreneurial projects on the FUCaM Mons campus.

Facts:

  • 30 students from a wide variety of faculties (Healthcare, Philosophy, Environmental Science, International Development, Civil Engineering, Management, Law, Anthropology, …);
  • Who will discover different facets of sustainable innovation;
  • Work for eleven weeks in international and multidisciplinary teams;
  • And develop at the end of the programme a concrete micro-project linked to one/several SDGs

The event took place at UCLouvain in mid-December for two days of this programme. A beautiful new concrete illustration of co-creation experience in which our Faculty is directly involved.

Alexandra Parezanovic’s testimonial (SDG 12-Responsible consumption and production): “For our final project, we chose to tackle the problem of food waste in the retail and food service sectors. It was a real challenge since we all have different backgrounds, and none were from this area of expertise! But somehow, we managed to tackle it well! So proud of our final project and the work we put into it!”
