It is with deep sorrow that I must inform you of the sudden passing away of our dear colleague and friend, Mrs Dominique Arnould, born in 1960.
After graduating in psychology from UCLouvain in 1983, Dominique joined the University in 1986 and has then worked in our institution in different functions in two faculties and at the central administration. Since 2008, Dominique has been Academic Advisor and Head of Internships in the Faculty of Psychology and Education (PSP), as well as President of CORTA and member of the Academic Council and BEX.
But for us, it is especially the years in LSM that mark our minds forever. Dominique was in charge of the International Office at the LSM (IAG at the time) between 1990 and 2000. During this period, she contributed to the construction of the exchange networks and alliances (CEMS, PIM) that form the very identity of LSM today.
From 2000 until 2006, Dominique became the administrative director of IAG, working closely with the president Professor Pierre Semal on the great transformation of IAG in the ESPO faculty to become Louvain School of Management LSM, an autonomous entity within the Académie Louvain, in transition to becoming an independent faculty in its own right in 2010.
A sudden recurrence of her illness suddenly deprived us of a dear colleague, friend and a great lady in our community, radiating with humanity and deep commitment to our members, staff and students. She always gave herself entirely to her passions, but never without losing the smile and that great empathy for the human being in all interactions that we will always remember. Dynamic and vivacious, her premature and abrupt passing way is a shock to us all. She marked us, she remains with us.
Let me extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.
