Where to find a second hand bike ?

from Monday 18th September 2023 to Wednesday 4th of October, at "la maison du développement durable", on the Agora square.

Come and find the good deal! Second-hand bikes from ASBL la Cordiante. There will be bikes of all types: city bikes, racing bikes, mountain bikes.... and for all budgets!

Tips from students

Buy a second-hand bike: it's very common and saves money, as well as helping the planet (carbon bike frames are not recyclable).
Classified ads are very popular and reappear regularly : keep your eyes peeled.
Have a suitable lock
Don't leave your bike tied up in one place for too long
Avoid leaving your bike overnight in unsecured places (such as the bus station, train station, Grand Place or Coubertin in Louvain-la-Neuve)
Favour secure places, such as the UCLouvain shelters or at home, with small hooks to hang your bike on the wall if you're short of space (you'll find them in all bike shops).
To repair your bike, the kot Méca has a permanent site every first Wednesday afternoon of the month on the Place de l'Université. The ASBL “les débrouillards” also visits Louvain-la-Neuve from time to time.

By bike, on the FUCaM campus, UCLouvain makes electric bicycles available to staff and students at the Ateliers (rue des Soeurs Noires, 4, 7000 Mons) and on campus. You can also hire a bike for the year via Pro Vélo Mons There are dedicated places to park your bike in complete safety.
