Jan Komarek

Jan Komárek is an Associate Professor at the European Institute and the Department of Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague (2001) and obtained an LL.M. from the Stockholm University (2004) and a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford (2011). He worked as a legal counsellor at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was a legal clerk of the President of the Czech Constitutional Court. His work in comparative and EU constitutional law focuses on legal reasoning, legitimacy of judicial institutions and constitutional pluralism. He is a member of the editorial board of the European Constitutional Law Review.
