Mobility Week is an opportunity for UCLouvain to highlight the importance of soft mobility for our community. This issue is at the heart of the strategic note on the urban development of UCLouvain (adopted by the University's Board of Governors in July 2020). It is also in line with the company travel plan adopted by the Work Council..

>> Daily commutes, weekly shuttles, research visits, conferences, international exchanges... University keeps you moving!
As part of the Transition Plan,
- one of UCLouvain's priorities is to increase the use of sustainable modes of transport such as cycling, public transport, walking and car sharing.
- One of the major objectives is also to reduce, as far as possible, the use of private cars by 15 to 20%.
... taking into account the different urban realities of our campuses: pedestrianised, in town or oudside.
To achieve this objective, UCLouvain is
-
makes significant investments on its various campuses: car parks and bicycle racks, bicycle tests, installation of showers, etc.
maintains an ongoing dialogue with public transport companies -
raises community awareness of sustainable mobility through the "Make your journey a good plan" communication campaign.
